Is this medical or legal advice?

No. It’s an organizer kit that you fill in with all of Mom or Dad’s information, and it isn’t a substitute for professional advice. Anything medical, ask their doctor. Anything legal, ask an attorney. And if something is happening right now, call 911.

Can’t I just make this myself?

You could, and some people do. It just takes longer than you’d think, because most of the work is figuring out what to ask in the first place. That part is already researched and done for you. All you have to do is follow our guided process and fill in the blanks.

What am I actually paying for?

The work that went into deciding what belongs in it. Sorting out what matters from what’s just noise takes a long time, and that’s all done for you in the kit. Everything is clearly laid out in the order you’ll need it, with an example next to every blank so you’re not guessing what to put.

What if I don’t know what to write down?

That’s okay. Most people are exactly where you are right now. Just follow the guided structure of the kit, which tells you what goes in each blank, and fill in what you know now. Whatever’s still blank becomes your list of things to find out. Even a half-finished kit is still more than most families have written down anywhere.

What if my parent won’t talk about it?

Start with what you already know and leave the rest for now. A lot of parents warm up to it once they see it’s just paperwork and not a difficult conversation.

My brother and I both help. Can we share one?

Yes. It’s one kit per parent, not one per person. Print a copy each, or keep the file somewhere you can both get to it. The whole point is that their information isn’t sitting in one person’s head.

Will medical staff actually use this?

The kit is built to be handed to anyone, at any professional level, and still be simple and intuitive enough to follow and understand. Plain paper, no jargon, laid out in roughly the order things get asked. What it really saves is you trying to gather all their information from memory.

Do I need one for each parent?

Yes, one for each. You can either fill them out digitally or print them. Their medicines, doctors, and conditions are different, and you don’t want those getting mixed up.

What do I need to open it?

Anything that opens a PDF, which is pretty much any computer or phone. You can type into it on a computer, or print it and fill it in by hand.

How do I fill it in digitally?

You can only do this on a computer, not on your phone. Just open the kit, click a box, type into it, and save.

What if it isn’t what I expected?

Due to the digital nature of the kit, it downloads straight away once you purchase and you have full access to the information inside. So all sales are final, and refunds are not accepted.
